I’m Lucía, a graduate in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Vigo in Spain. I’ve been working as a technical translator since 2013.
As a child, I dreamed of speaking all the languages in the world, so I always knew my passion for languages would be at the heart of my professional career.
My mother tongues are Galician and Spanish, into which I translate from English and Portuguese.
I am also a sworn translator for English into Galician and Galician into English, appointed by the regional authority (Secretaría Xeral de Política Lingüística de Galicia).
I worked for several years as an in-house translator, proofreader and project manager for translation agencies and companies in areas as diverse as engineering and tourism. Now I’m a freelance translator specializing in technical texts and software and website localization.
